Ellie Harrison
"Cosmic Spaghetti Polyptych"
Analogue dark room photogram print
Ellie is currently a student at Glasgow School of Art, having studied at City & Guilds Art school and lived in London all her life. Though her artistic practice remains undefined, she is continually interested in tactile objects, and how as children, we experience the world entirely through touch and emotion in the absence of reason and logic.

Laura S. Martineé
"Rob Goodwin looking at the crowd"
Graphite, pencil and charcoal
I'm a restless soul who's always trying to capture the imperfection in the reaction versus the perfection in the elaborated thought.
I travelled into a non-existent space where all my caos and peace meets to look for a truce.I went there to get lost,to reinvent my place in the world,to know my inner status,to rediscover and undress my heart.
The search continues. The sky is opening more and more, dreams have learned to dance to the rhythm of magic...the dissolution of pain mixes with the the evolution of love.

Graphite on paper
Drawing began to interest me from an early age, the first subjects for me were Fantastic birds and animals. By my first education I am an art critic (State Academy of Slavic Cultures), by my second I am a graphic designer (MGTA).
The main techniques that I use are watercolor, ink, gouache, acrylic. I love experimenting and mixing different materials. I draw a lot on environmental topics. The first big series that I drew is the "Red Book" dedicated to rare and endangered species of animals and birds.
I do illustrations, invent various creatures and stories for them, draw nature and portraits. I like to do the whole line drawings, forming the composition first in my head. I am inspired by baroque music and black and white films. Recently, I have been leaning more and more towards symbolism.

Rhian Bolton
"Hold Me"
DK wool
Rhian Bolton is a Welsh maker studying and living in Manchester. Bolton has been featured in online publications, such as Creatures Magazine and Orange Blush zine, and printed publications My Friend Alex zine and Yer Magazine. In 2018, she won the Artway Award for Technical Ability at the Cardiff Arts Academy end of year show before studying at Manchester School of Art. Bolton uses domestic materials like wool, cotton, and fabric to appropriate text into these elements, and this is done through crochet and sewing. Contextually, this plays into themes of domestic, ritual, and meditations.
Bolton is inspired by the art of second-wave feminist artists and their “femmages”, to the 90s resurgence in “sloppy art” and handcrafts, to artists of the northwest now exploring their home and upbringing in post-industrial cities. She is also influenced by cottage industry methods and their meanings when displayed in “fine art” contexts. Processes like knitting, weaving, embroidery and natural dye are seen as inherently feminine, easy, and kitsch when seen in white cube spaces. By using these processes, Bolton can question their role in the home and play into stereotypical motions. The text chosen in the work has evolved from being ambiguous lines of poetry to bold phrases - AGAIN I HAVE TO CLEAN - further indicating a challenge with their role in the home. Bolton’s work is a subversion to stereotypical domestic roles in the home and displays internal meditations from homely rituals.
